  • uOLED-96-g2 ..help a beginner in a simple project

    Hello friends,

i have finished a few months back my project (a starting image and a video that plays for ever) for my μLCD-24PTU picaso displays.

    http://forum.4dsystems.com.au/forum/...project-please

Now i got some of the new Gen4 uLCD_24PTU that i installed it again successfully and im happy with them.

I got also one uOLED-96-g2 that i would like to install the same function (when powering a starting image with some delay and a video that plays for ever).

I attach you the code that i copy/paste into VISI .I change the screen type to uOLED-96-g2 but when i comp and load i get several errors..
    What am i doing wrong?

Thank you in advance for your help
    Kind Regards
    George

          Dear George,

Attached is the VISI project from Picasso LCD-24PTU to
Goldelox uOLED-96-g2. Unfortunately, the Goldelox LCD
          Module has no playWAV functionality.

          Best Regards,

          Hello Noel,

i cant download your attachment . When i click on it , it just opens a new window doing nothing. Can you check it please?

When you say Goldelox LCD Module has no playWAV functionality, you mean that i cant play .gif moving image?

          Thank you

            Hi George,

If you cannot download the files, please use this Dropbox link.

            https://www.dropbox.com/s/fleuto5cbd...96-G2.zip?dl=0

The Goldelox LCD Module cannot play WAV music or sound files.

              Hello again gents,
              im having problem .

The original .gif attached above plays ok.

But now when i try to play (PORTRAIT_R) it just shows bad lines and not playing at all.

Also when i try to play another .gif that i made i get this problem.

It looks that only the .gif attached in the file above can play correct and only in LANDSCAPE view.

What i must change in the code to solve this?

What is the resolution of this display so i can adjust the .gif that i make?
How many colors should i use for .gif making ? 128? 256?

What characteristics the .gif must have to have maximum viewing/color performance ?

              Thank you

Gee, support guys are still finishing their weekend.

Goldelox only supports images in the native orientation of the display. When you change the orientation, Workshop generates the image rotated in such a way that it will display correctly when the display is in portrait mode.

If you click 'paste code' with the new orientation you will see the pasted code is different, to take the above into account

                        Hi there Paul !

I attach the project and the .gif i wish to play.

I would just like when i powerup this .gif to start playing.
Ideally in Portrait_R more. But if not possible in Portrait then.

                        Thank you Paul
                        Cheers
                        George

                            george1,

Please see the attached Zip file. It is a ViSi project using your gif file. It displays the video in Portrait Mode.

                            Best regards,
