    Hi!
Where could I publish my post about the GPS-PA6B-DIP unit? I didn't find a specific thread for the GPS.

    I encased this great GPS-PA6B-DIP into a 60 x 30 x 22 mm red box, together with a backup battery and a 3,3V regulator.
    Read more here!
    Best regards,

    An interesting read Julien.

I read an interesting one in a newsgroup yesterday, they said the way to stop it, is to shoot the hostage. That is, the one person in 1000, that falls for spam, and makes a purchase is the hostage.

If you kill the hostage, there will be no spam.
Then there was a lengthy discussion on how to knock out the hostage.

Mind you, it wasn't a physical kill, more likely a method of forcing ISP's to terminate hostage accounts.

Doubt if it's practicle, but an interesting concept.

I see you really hate spam, you might want to have a look at this link:

    I especially like this one:

I can see you are on top of it Juilien,

I only added the capatcha (random numbers) in the last week or two. I was getting so much spam through the contact page, but it was gibberish, almost like they have nothing better to do.

Spam has destroyed so much, I used to have a guest book, and product reviews, but you can't anymore. Even these message boards seem the only way to run a help group without spam. A friend put me onto them, and I put Atilla onto them, no spam yet.

    Hi Don !

    Thanks for the comments.
Looks like you have an aggressive anti-spam policy

The emails are coded using a php function, if you look at the source code you would not see the emails but a bunch of numbers. I'm not sure how secured is this, and I can add more stuff to it like sales AT/@/at domain.com and adding various space before/after.
My (personnal) email is also exposed on the website but I have not received more spam than usual (means nospam at all ^^).Of course it's not protected from human spammers, this is why I thought about writing my own contact form but I wasn't sure.

The online contact form generator (the free one at least) does not provide any kind of filtering of the input, and the javascript solution can be parsed by a human to find out how the script works. (so you might have to encrypt it)

The contact form you have on your website, though, is pretty robust I especially like the picture with the numbers that you have to type in.

I'll try to work out a solution.
    Regards,
    Julien

    That looks really great Julien,
I'll be able to use it for my own website updates.
I see what you mean about the breakouts.

Only criticism I have is my pet hate of having email addresses on web pages for spambots to harvest.

    see:
    http://www.wizard-of-oz.com
and have a look at the html/js method of creating a spam proof approach.

Eventually, I will be going into something like:
    http://www.kayako.com/esupport.php
a bit expensive, but I would figure well worth it for someone like Atilla that has massive amounts of emails and support to handle.

    Cheers Don...

    4DSystems's website

    Hi all,

I have updated the website. Some parts are still not working like the breakouts / µVGA though, this will be fixed soon.
You must have Javascript enabled for now to visit the website, but it has been written considering people with Javascript disabled in mind too.
I'll update it with full-support for Javascript disabled browser.

Most browser are supported except internet explorer version prior to 6 (the website displays but it's impossible to browse).
The website has been tested with the following configurations:

internet explorer 6 on wine 0.9.9 and Windows XP Pro/Home SP1/SP2
internet explorer 7 on Windows XP Pro/Home SP1/SP2
    Opera Version 9.23 ,660 on Linux i686
Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.12 on Linux i686

The website "resize" well but a resolution > 640x480 is recommended.

Post here any bugs, suggestions, recommendations, browser support etc...
