I have just started using 4DGL- to draw coloured outlines of ships facing any angle at any position on the screen. I would really like the outlines to be thicker than 1 pixel (e.g. 2 or 3 pixels wide would be perfect).

Any suggestions on a good way to achieve this? Drawing a whole extra outline, displaced from the first one is a possibility but a real pain to manage as the angles vary from 0 through 359degrees.
