  • UNABLE TO CONNECT VIA COMM PORT

IS THE FAT CONTROLLER MEANT ONLY FOR UDRIVE PLATFORMS OR CAN IT OPERATE WITH 32028/28240 SYSTEMS? I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET IT TO CONNECT BUT THE DISPLAY DOES ACT AS IF BEING RESET. PLEASE ADVISE,

The FATController software is for serial PmmC (SGC) platform devices only. Displays loaded with a 4DGL PmmC (GFX) would have to be loaded with the SGC PmmC for the device in order to accept the serial commands sent by the FATController. P.S. You can turn CAPS off by pressing the "Caps Lock" key again.

Thanks for the info, worked fine after loading proper file. However, I note that even when asked if I want to do some step @ 9600 baud, there appears to be no option to increase rate. Initial comm connection only happens @ 9600. Suggestions?

The best way is to "Open" the connection at 9600 baud, then just change the "Speed" dropdown (next to the "Open" button) to the speed that you want. When you change the speed, take a look at the log window, you should see something like: "Set Comm Speed 115200 ". Notice the , that indicates that the speed change command was accepted.
