  • uOLED and uVGA

I wonder if both modules, uOLED and uVGA uses similar commands?

Looks very similar to me and the PIC uses same commands, uOLED works fine but not the uVGA. i do get VGA sync but all blank, no characters shown on VGA.

    commands needs adjustments?

    additional commands?

    Hi,
Commands are similar on both SGC based modules and uVGA module but not exactly the same. Please refer to the user manual for uVGA-PICASO-MD1 for command set and other details.

For your information you can not initialize a uVGA-PICASO-MD1 at any baud rate. You need to send initialization command "U or 55 Hex" at 9600 baud. You can change the baud rate later.

      SEROUT2 PORTB.7,84,[$55] 'autobaud

      GOSUB GETACK
      SEROUT2 PORTB.7,84,[$45] 'clear screen
      GOSUB GETACK

      SEROUT2 PORTB.7, 84, [$73, 0, 1, 0, $FF, $E0, TEST, $00] 'used on uOLED

this is what won't show up on VGA. noting that it is set at 9600 8N1.

        Hi,
Do you receive an Ack in response to the "55hex" command? What about other commands do they work? Can you see the actions on VGA screen relevant to the serial command sent? Is it just String command (73hex,.....) that doesn't respond?

using similar string and command as posted earlier. I do get NAK, 4B hex. and gets blue screen and dim white line at the left screen top to bottom. once i do get NAK, BB then 4B.

Still cant get it to sync, cant get $06 after sending "U".
