I am using the uLCD-32PT(GFX). On other projects which I have designed, I have PWM's the backlight LEDs. This 'saves' energy....kinda like the CFL light bulb replacements save energy, but then you have hazardous waste from mercury font the lamp itself.
What they see with the PWM of the backlight is that it goes dark.......

There is no way to dim the backlight.

Can you just 'dim' what you are displaying (either through the use of the contrast, or just writing it using a dimmer color)?

Are you using SGC or GFX? What display?

What is it exactly that the 'Green'ies want changed?

    Backlight dimming??

I have yet to find a way to dim the LCD backlight. Is there a command, or could a command be added to vary the brightness of the backlighting?
I am developing a controller for a piece of laboratory equipment and university type people seem to be irrationally 'green'.
    thanx in advance.....
Working...
