  • µLCD-32PT(GFX) - basic functions by UART?

I'd like to use this display, but only for very basic purposes at the moment.
Does this display allow me to send printf strings to it without need for programming it?
ie - I have a microcontroller that can send data out by serial, and I'd just like the display to display any data received.
If this isn't possible right out the box, is there a program I can simply upload to it to give me this capability? For my current purposes, I do not have the time to learn the 4D language designed for the display.

the SGC version will accept serial commands "out of the box" - and you can make it a 4dgl version at a later stage just by uploading a different PMMC file

      thanks!
Oh just one more question . . . can you point me towards a command list if there is one? (ie go to next line, clear screen, etc)

          John,
Have a look at the uLCD-32PT(SGC) product page. Check the Downloads tab, you can find all the relevant details, PmmC file, documentation and supported software tools.
