  • uLCD-144, 4display-shield + Arduino

    Hi forumers!

I have just started to play with a fresh 4display-shield with a uLCD-144 and an Arduino Uno.

I have followed all the installation steps and an example sketch by Oscar Gonzalez (attached) is compiled and uploaded to the arduino without error. The issue i'm having is the LCD does not cycle through the demo as it should. It just stays on the 4D systems logo.

    My libraries folder includes:
    displayshield4d.cpp
    displayshield4d.h

What is a good method for fault finding this?

    Thanks

The most likely explanation for that is that the uLCd-144 is not connected properly.

Have you connect TX-TX and RX-RX and forgotten to swap them over?

How are you connecting the two together?

      Hi ESPsupport,

I have just connected the display shield directly to the Arduino via the headers as supplied. It's not a straight pnp?

Ok, the metal was missing from inside the plastic jumper fitted to rx enable on the 4display shield. Working a treat now, thanks.
