  • OVF() function

    I would like to shift some 32 bit numbers, so as suggested in the documentation, I am trying to use the overflow register. The example in 4DGL Programmers Reference Manual, page 20, suggests that the overflow register should first be cleared using the:

    pokeW(VM_OVERFLOW, 0);

    If I use this command, I get a compile error, saying that the VM_OVERFLOW constant is not defined. Also the register is not listed in the register list in the Internal functions manual.

    Any suggestions how to set the overflow register?
