  • uVGA with USB touch-screen Lilliput display

    Hi,

I'd like to use a uVGA module with a Lilliput VGA display that supports 4-wire touch-screen via USB. I'm still awaiting details on the touch-screen USB interface.

I need to use both serial ports on the uVGA embedded controller for my application, so I was thinking of using the I2C to control an external UART then connect that to either a USB-Serial module or embed CP2102 directly to connect to the displays USB touch-screen port. This seems a little long winded!

Has anyone else done this or any constructive ideas?

    Regards,

    Zera

I don't think that would work as the CP2102 would need to be acting as a USB host, which I don't think it can.

A bit sad that they don't offer RS232 serial as well as USB.

Which size monitor were you looking at?

      Hi,

Yes I also wondered whether the CP2102 supported host mode?

It would have been either an 8 or 10" display. I see they do a display with a USB interface. It'll be nice to have a 4D uVGA adapter with a USB option to directly drive these style of USB displays.

      Thanks for your advice.
