  • Touch Screen Removal

Does anyone know if it is possible to carefully remove the touchscreen overlay from the 2.4inch display? I don't require the touchscreen overlay and it causes a huge amount of refelction. I was hoping that I could remove the overlay in order to get a better contrast ratio.
It looks to be bonded to the bezel with a fairly pliable adhesive. The 4 touch screen wire can happily be cut.

The touch panel is about 1mm thick glass, it's not some plastic overlay. It's glued on to the display, on the 4 sides. The following is not recommended by 4D and highly advised against.
If it was me I would get a thin sharp razor blade and force the blade between the TP glass and the display. Once the blade was in, I'd be running it along the sides. The TP glass may break depending on how careful I was(not). I'd be also very careful not to cut myself.
