  • GC - address locations for images

    Hi all,

    Can I use the GC to import images of buttons into the uSD card on the 320uLCD which can be painted onto the screen at runtime? For that I need to know the address location where the image is stored right?. Please advice.

    Thanks.

    MrKodi,

    Correct on all counts. The GC creates text (.txt) file with the same name as your project file (.gcs). In the text file are the names and the locations of all the images loaded by that project. You can use the addresses from the text file in the Display Image/Icon from Memory Card command (@I).

    Everything you need for the command except where to display the image on the screen is in the text file.

    Example from GC text file:
    File "C:\4DSystems\LargeLogo.gif"
    Location = 0x200000(2097152)
    Width = 240 Height = 320 Bits = 16

    The GC supports BMP, JPG and GIF image formats.

    Good luck,

    Steve
