  • 4DGL uVGA Link tool - interface specification

I am trying to interface a pointing tool through Arduino into uVGA
The uVGA Link tool send serial commands for mouse / keyboard. I tried locating
the specs for the serial commands that but could not find them.

Can somebody point me to the correct location?

The objective is to run the demo programs without being connected to a computer
uVGA wiil be connected to a monitor and Arduino

The 4DGL uVGA Link tool generates a very simple protocol that you can use,
or you can in fact invent your own quite easily.

The demo here will help you on your way, and shows the data format
sent by the 4DGL uVGA Link tool:-

and here's another demo which may be helpful:-

I tried running the mouseDraw demo but have some problems with the VGA link (posted in another thread)

I walked through the Mouse.inc program and it seems to me that the pointing protocol
just sends 4 bytes for x position and then 4 bytes for Y position on COM0 at 19200 baud

      Is that correct?

        Wouldn't that be 2 for x and 2 for y?

          Yup,
My bad, stateGETWORD packs 2 bytes into X and then 2 bytes into Y
          thanks for correcting.
