Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and have just purchased:
    and a 4D Programming Cable
I have a few xbee chips hanging around and was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to connect one to the LCD?
Would it be a good start to learn how UART works?

    - Thank you

XBee has a lot of features, however I would suggest that first you make sure the XBee devices are set to transparently transmit/receive serial data.

Usually, configuration of XBee modules 'out of the box' is:
    HTML Code:
speed: 9600 baud rate bits: 8 parity: none stop bits: 1 flow control: none

If this is not the case you will need to refer to the XBee AT commands in the XBee doc and change the configuration.
The rest should be fairly straightforward, there is a thread here that may help.

Ya, I am exactly trying to work with these 2 (well, 43PT).
        1) But what is the pinout for using the UARTs?

Um, you mean the pinouts in the datasheet? (or silk screened onto the board)

Not sure I understand the question
