  • What is the way to read data form serial port and show thw with Visi

    I would like to read some data form serial port, and show them in the display, using Visi, but I can not find any example about how to do it....There are only examples about showing different things, but without any connection to anywhere.

    Could somebody help me?

    Thanks

      Yes, it is useful... Thanks!

      But I still have a couple of doubts:

      If I want to send a data from LCD display to the MCU microcontroller, when somebody push a button, what is the way to do it?

      Where are described all API functions related to manage of serial port, (and using Visi to show data)?

      com_Init()
      com_Count()
      ....
      ....

      thanks again.

        serout(char) ;

        All these are described in the "PICASO-GFX2-4DGL-INTERNAL-FUNCTIONS" manual.

        It can be found on the downloads tab of any GFX2 related product, eg http://www.4dsystems.com.au/prod.php?id=112

          Thank you,

          I think your company should make more examples like my program (serial port + data on screen).
          These kind of situations are very common, and people need many simple examples, when the API is so big.

            There are examples in most sections of the manual - you will learn more with a read and work it out for yourself
