  • FONT PROBLEM ON RAW PARTITION

    Hello,
I have already talked about this problem in this post:
    http://4d.websitetoolbox.com/post/uSD-problem-6035229

I use custom fonts on RAW partition (Bitstream Vera Sans).
I have tested, that after a certain number of readings from uSD memory, the display damages some sectors of uSD.
When printf function takes one corrupted character the system freezes.
I have implemented a hardware watchdog to prevent a total block, but when it occurs for first time (it can happen after a few or several weeks) the following blocks are very frequent.

I have created a brutal test to test different brands of uSD.
This test is to print all characters in the font Bitstream Vera Sans from size 14 to size 44.
Some memories fail after a day other after a week.

Now I'm doing a test with a industrial uSD. It runs without problems by 4 days.

I consider it very strange, the display damages uSD when it reads.

Can you give me an email address to send the results of my test?I will send the program code and the disk image of uSD used.

Do you have any suggestions?I have to solve this problem, it is very important.

    Hello Claudio,

I consider it very strange, the touch damages uSD when it reads.
Yes I agree, are you saying that you do not write to the card at all?

eg no write operations are ever attempted, being FAT16 or RAW mode?
    Regards,
    Dave

Yes, I'm sure, the display doesn't write in this test.
I have few lines of code.
