  • Dimming an Image from SD Card

    Hi everyone,
    I'm interested in dimming an image that has been called from a .gif on the sd card ie:

    t:=sys_T()+30;
    while(sys_T()!=t);
    var wstack;
    wstack:=(RAND()& 26);
    while(!media_Init());
    media_SetSector(0x0000, 0x0000);
    media_VideoFrame(0,0,wstack);

    I would like the image to display and then dim or fade out into another image. Currently I am accomplishing this by displaying in sequence a grayed out version of the image but it looks a little choppy. Of course I could make several levels of gray and display that way but it would be time consuming as there are 150 frames to the gif. I have seen in the documentation that there is the img_Darken function. Can anybody give me some directions as to how to use this. Thanks again!

    img_Darken only works on ImageControls.

    Typically these require a .GCI and a .DAT file on a FAT Formatted disk, although you can put the .DAT in a

    FAT partition and the .GCI in a RAW partition on the same disk.

    There are only 4 shades of darkening available (using gfx_BevelShadow or all things), so I don't think this will end up looking any less choppy than what you are doing now.
