  • Playing multiple video files

Newbie here. I've read the app note on creating a video playback app in Visi-Genie, but it's not clear to me how to extend it to play multiple video files. I'd like to create an app that responds to a screen tap by advancing to the next video file on the SD card. Can someone outline that crucial step for me, or point me to a resource that describes it? Thanks.

You need to add another video and another timer for each video.

You will also need to have a separate button to start each.

Place the videos on top of oone another, if that's what you want to do.

Thanks, but are you saying it's not possible to have a single "Next" and a single "Previous" button that go to the next/previous video from whichever video you're viewing? I may have 10 videos I want to cycle through, so 10 buttons would be awfully cumbersome. I'd like to use invisible buttons (if that's possible), so tapping on the right side of the full-screen video, say, advances to the next one, while tapping on the left side takes you to the previous one.

No, you can't do that in Genie, each video is a separate entity.

Of course, you could do such a thing in ViSi fairly easily, you'd just need to write the code
