  • GOLDELOX SGC sound command (BeeP) - how many different frequencies?

    How many different frequencies can be produced using the GOLDELOX SGC sound command BeeP?

    Actually I can produce only 4 (four) different frequencies:

    note 0 to 4 ......... lowest frequency
    note 5 to 11 ....... a bit higher frequency
    note 12 to 23 ..... next higher frequency
    note 24 to 64 ..... highest frequency

    The manual says ---> NOTE ..... a value specifying the frequency of the note, could be between 0-64

    Is this behavior a BUG or a FEATURE ? ? ?

    Best Regards

    There certainly appears to be something wrong with that, we are investigating

      For the moment, try adding
      tune_Play("a");
      Even before you set the SOUND pin, then I think beep() will work properly

            Well, since you have a work around, I wasn't thinking of this as an urgent problem, hence it will be in the next PmmC revision that currently does not have a release date, as this is the only issue currently known.

            Is there some reason that the workaround is not suitable (since the workaround will have no effect when the problem is fixed)?

              There's just a short BeeP at power-on resulting from the added tune_Play("a") - command.

              As Beeps are used throughout the application, this is not a big issue.
