  • micro sd card issue

    Hello all,

I've been running the uLCD-32PT for a while and came across a strange issue. We use a .GIF image that serves as our text/number scheme so we are constantly updating those images with new values (numbers) Recently, the display would freeze up and become unresponsive, I checked all of the connections and didn't find any cold solders/poor connections. I ended up simply re-writing the SD card with the .dat and .gci files and the freeze ups seem to have fixed.

Wanted to see if you all have experienced something similar/if it was really just isolated to the microsd card being used.

    Thanks!

You mean constantly updating the images on the screen with different text/numbers from the uSD?

You are probably seeing the uSD 'phenomenon' (actually any flash memory 'card' has it) called 'read disturb'.

You need to replace your uSD card with an 'industrial strength' one that includes 'read disturb' protection. eg http://www.4dsystems.com.au/product/uSD_4GB_Industrial/
