  • Newbie Question

    Hello,

    I try to write direct with the Arduino Serial Library.
    Use an Arduino Mega, and have the uLCD-43-PT-AR combination.
    For communication I use the RX1 & TX1 ports and the library
    "Picaso_Serial_4DLib.h"

    What should I do (or do I forget) to show the message on the LCD.

    Cheers,

    Jan

    This is my simple program:

    #define DisplaySerial Serial1
    #include "Picaso_Serial_4DLib.h"

    Picaso_Serial_4DLib Display(&DisplaySerial);
    #define RESETLINE 4

    void setup() {
    // Set baudrate
    DisplaySerial.begin(115200);
    delay(100); // display sleeps for 100 ms
    DisplaySerial.flush();

    // put your setup code here, to run once:
    pinMode(RESETLINE, OUTPUT); // Set D4 to output
    digitalWrite(RESETLINE,1); // Reset the display via D4
    delay(100);
    digitalWrite(RESETLINE,0); //unReset the Display via D4
    delay(5000);
    Function_Tests();
    }

    void loop() {
    }

    void Function_Tests( void)
    {
    //Display.txt_BGcolour(BLACK);
    //Display.txt_FGcolour(LIME);
    //Display.txt_FontID(FONT3);
    Display.gfx_Cls(); //Clear Screen
    Display.putstr("This\n");
    Display.putstr("is my\n");
    Display.putstr("first test\n");
    }
