  • Writing data to meter

Another noob at wits end. I place a coolgauge on the screen and compile and load to sd card. when I use gtx program to write 50 to gauge it works ok and returns
    Set Coolgauge Value 09:01:37.725 [01 08 00 00 32 3B]

this work but when I use a serial program and enter the same values 01 08 00 00 32 3b it does not work what must I do in the serial program to send the correct bytes
    thanks Anton

Can you show your serial program?

Maybe also your hardware setup and how it's connected, with a photo or two?

I found an example on using the built in terminal this works great. I can see the problem the terminal program breaks up every byte and sends it. 20 become 2 zero. The built in terminal works correctly. Thanks for help. This is really cool.

I think the MikroE program might work if you set 'data format' to hex.

Better to use our program, of course

no it does not work if I send 18001019 then it sends 0x31 0x38 0x30 0x30 0x31 0x30 0x31 0x39 the 19 it sends as 0x31 and 0x39 not 0x19 but the built in serial port does.
