  • How t adjust the contrast on µOLED-128-G2

I try to adjust the brightness on uTOLED-20-G2 through gfx_Contrast(value), but the display either turned off or totally bright, I can't adjust it by a value between 1-15.
Could somebody explain what is the correct way to set it?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    That is the correct way.

The problem is the Toled's brightness level settings have almost no effect on the brightness.

If you want to 'permanently' lower the brightness use a darker colour, otherwise there's not much that can be done.

      Hi Mark,

On page 9 of uTOLED-20-G2-Datasheet-REV1.2.pdf, it states

Avoid having to display the same image/object on the screen for lengthy periods of time. This will cause a burn-in which is a common problem with all types of display technologies. Blank the screen after a while or dim it very low by adjusting the contrast.

It sounds like the device can be dimmed. Am I correct? If so, what is the proper way to do it?

      Thanks,

      Tom

It's a bit like the LCD panels, the only way you can dim the screen is to have a 'second' copy of whatever is on the screen that is/was created with darker colours.
