  • New uCam-II Arduino library

I hope this help's someone out there, I've compiled what I've learnt into an Arduino library

    https://github.com/dgtlmoon/uCamII

Let me know if you have any feedback!

Camera is working perfectly for me on an Arduino Pro Mini.

Thank you 4D Systems for the great support!

      Dear dgtlmoon

i am new to arduino. i tried to use your library and example code. however, i am not able to get any kinda output at the serial monitor.
      I used ucam-ii and arduino mega /due.

Kindly if you have a complete running code that captures the raw image using ucam-ii and shows the output on the serial monitor as hex kindly update me.

Or any kind of help in this regard will be valuable.

      thanks

Have you used the uCAM demo program that is inside Workshop? Whilst it does not run on Arduino it does show the transmitted and received data.

I want to try the demo program but i donot understand how to connect the camera with the system without using arduino. I tried to connect it by using serial port but nothing comes out. Any suggestions

The serial port needs to be TTL level, other than that it should be simple.

If you have our programming cable you just plug it in.

            What do you have?

I try to interface the camera with arduino as well using the above mentioned library and the example code, but its not working
Can you tell me where i am going wrong.

                  Do you have a USB-UART converter lead/box/chip?

Have you wired the camera to your arduino correctly?

TX to RX, and RX to TX ?
Wired it to Pins 10 and 11 on the Arduino, for software Serial? (or 2 and 3 as per your first example)
Are you using an Uno or something else?

ya i have wired it correctly, i tried with both cases connect camera RX to arduino TX(11) and camera TX to arduino RX(10) as well as camera RX to arduino TX(3) and camera TX to arduino RX(2), but no one work.
                            i m using Arduino mega.

If your using a mega, dont wire it to software serial, wire it to another hardware serial and change the code accordingly.

Use the library provided by the guy in the first post, and just change the serial port, and it should just work.

Hope you didnt damage it from hooking it to RS232.
