That is correct, you said you connected it to a "usb to rs232 converter".

    RS232 is -12v to +12v (typically). TTL is 0 to 5v

    Datasheet clearly state:
the module has on-board serial interface (TTL) that is suitable for a direct connection to any host micro-controller UART or a PC system com port (page 4)

The uCam-II is ttl serial, I don't think feeding it RS232 level stuff will help

usb to rs232 converter and then rx/tx/gnd to camera and gnd to power supply the same as +5V to camera

How are you powering the camera?

Is it really connected to COM7?

Can you supply a picture of your setup?

    Seriously, thanks for your response.

    Thanks. Have a nice day~

The standard ACK is the one to send (AA 0E FF 00 00 00), you can see that in the demo software.

    AA 0D 00 00 00 00 is the Sync command

I attached screenshot which we selected 8-bit gray, 80x60, and raw picture mode. this mode worked well when we tried to work it with XC -2287 kit.

I saved image as a BMP but I couldn't upload as a BMP because web site problem. so I attached result picture with JPEG image. I hope u can know my intention.

I thought I need to show you our result and I want to ask again about my question.

    As I said,

    After receiving the picture data from uCAM ll, what ACK signal(ex. AA 0D 00 00 00 00 / AA 0E FF 00 00 00) i send to u CAM ll?

I can't receive the picture data after receiving first picture data in my source code.

I hope I can listen your opinion soon. Thanks for reading our question.

Does the demo software work correctly in this mode?

Perhaps you can see a difference between what you are doing and what it does

Oh, i connect the uCAM ll succesfully!

I make mistakes in code, and i solve the problem!

    Thank you so much!

    And, I have another problem.

I like to initialize and get picture with 8 bit-gray 80X60 resolrution, raw mode.

    After receiving the picture data from uCAM ll, what ACK signal(ex. AA 0D 00 00 00 00 / AA 0E FF 00 00 00) i send to u CAM ll?

How is the camera connected to the computer?

Are you sure you can the correct com port selected?

    Can you post a photo?

Unfortunately, I can see the same problem!

    Opening COM12 Speed=56000 baud
    Sync [AA 0D 00 00 00 00] <73 73 73 73 73 73> Response to Sync not correct
    Sync failed, is uCam connected?

I can see the not correct ACK data.

How can i deal with this problem......?
