  • Adding a Custom Font Over Serial

    Hello!

I'm trying to load a custom font over serial onto the SD cards for a series of uOLED-160-G2 units and I'm afraid I can't find any documentation about how to do this. I've located the document describing how to do it using Visi, but I don't have physical access to the screen ports and they aren't connecting to a machine that can run Visi. Thus, I need a solution that works over serial exclusively.

Is there any simple way to load a custom font over serial to the SD cards? Alternatively, is the format of the fonts themselves published anywhere so that I could do it byte by byte if necessary?

    Cheers,
    Andrew

The Fonts are written to uSD during the ViSi build process.

Once the fonts are on the uSD they can be used by Serial.
