    Hello Baxter

Welcome to the Forum and to 4D.

So the question I guess is, do you have a Programming Cable, or do you have a Programming Adaptor ?

FT232R is not the chipset used on the Programming Cable, it is the chipset used on the Programming Adaptor, so you have downloaded and installed the driver for the wrong product.

Is this the device you actually have? http://www.4dsystems.com.au/product/uUSB_PA5/

Please download the appropriate driver from this page, you will have the uUSB-PA5 version (not the uUSB-PA5-II).

    I hope that helps

    Regards

    Problems with dirvers

    Hi,

I'm a noob, I know I know. But I am desperately trying to set up my 4D system. I have a uLCD-28PTU. So I downloaded the driver for Windows here http://www.4dsystems.com.au/product/...ramming_Cable/

and installed it. Then I plugged the 4Dsystem in but the driver didn't work.

In my Workshop program nothing is showing up under Comms.

I checked 'system' and found that windows can't find FT232R USB UART. I tried updating the driver and also pointed the driver to the folder but it didn't work.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance
