  • Ds18b20 + 4-dpi-35

    I'm trying to get a Ds18b20 working which I have connected to the male output of the display module. However I seem to require the w1-gpio dtoverlay whereas the display needs the 4dpi-3x overlay.
    Apparently it is possible to use multiple device tree overlays, but in my case I either have a working ds18b20 or a working display but not both.
    Could there be a conflict? Is it possible to resolve that?

    Hi Sonium,

    Following installation of the package for the 4DPi-35, please add the w1-gpio-overlay to /boot/config. Adding the overlay will look similar to the one below.

    # uncomment one of the ovrlays if loading from EEPROM is not supported
    dtoverlay=4dpi-3x
    dtoverlay=w1-gpio-overlay

    Afterwards, use LSMOD to list mounted drivers. Please report back on the result.

    Regards,

        I would like to point out that the pin-description in the datasheet for the expansion header is wrong and differs from the (correct) schematics further down.
