    The command set is exactly the same as the original uLCD-128. You can download all the information from this link:

    The serial interface for both displays is the same. 4D Systems uses the same 5 pin interface for all of its display modules and is the reason why the uUSB-MB5 and uUSB-CE5 are suitable for interfacing to any of the displays.

    There may be some differences in the serial commands available because of the differences in the display technology and the hardware capabilities of the display, i. e. the OLED module does not have a backlight whereas the LCD does.

    adrx,Are you sure you mean the uLCD-128-GMD1? The 4D web site shows that model's status as "Coming Soon" and there are no specs available for that device at this time.

    If you mean instead, the uOLED
    -128-GMD1, which is in production, then you can control the display using any host processor that is capable of sending and receiving the serial commands required to control any of the serial platform displays from 4D Systems.
