  • Can not program new uLCD-43DT-B module..

Just got a starter kit for the uLCD-43DT.. Fired it up tonight to start playing with it via workshop software.. and have hit a snag..
I'm getting an unrecognised device/not compatible device error..

I've setup a designer project for the uLCD-43DT, done a comms scan and a compile and upload..

On scanning I get this with "unrecognised device!"

And when I try and upload the default designer code I get this:

    What am I doing wrong?
    How do I setup a uLCD-43DT-B project?

Hi ndavey, to add this device to workshop, please start your favourite text editor and open C:\Program Files (x86)\4D Labs\4D Workshop 4 IDE\SYSTEM.CFG

Find the line that has uLCD-43DT several times (should be 'roughly' 5 in a row) in it.

Change the 4th occurrence (yeah, most aren't exactly the same) from

    Code:
    uLCD-43DT-A
    to

    Code:
    uLCD-43DT-A|uLCD-43DT-B
Save the file and restart Workshop.

This will be in the next workshop release, but for now you will need to add it here

I am having the same issue as ndavey, I tried to edit the file and save, but everytime I try and save I just get an access denied message. Anyway around that?

I managed to get the file copied over. I put a copy of it on my desktop, edited it then copied it back over the original and was give the option to give it permission to replace the file this time and it copied over. This still didn't fix my problem though. It still says that my screen uLCD-43-DT-B is incompatible

Now it works... I'm not sure what I did to fix it other then close in and out of the program a couple of times lol.

Sounds like some, or all of your files were Read Only.
