Has anyone built raspbian 4.4.14-v7+ with 4D-HAT modules per https://bitbucket.org/4DPi/4d-hats/ ? For reasons unknown the 4D-HAT modules are not being loaded. I built the kernel per https://www.raspberrypi.org/document...el/building.md. The only additional steps make nconfig (to turn on 4D options) and make prepare. Followed by make -j4 zImage modules dtbs and the remaining steps in the instructions. The build took approx 1.5 hrs on a RPii3.

On a different RPi3 I installed http://www.4dsystems.com.au/download...-9_v1.0.tar.gz. I wanted to compare the kernel configs. I had to run # modprode configs to get the kernel config as it was not in /proc. There are no references to 4D modules in the config but yet the modules are in /lib/modues and the 4D hat works as expected. Interesting!

Hi, if the problem is only with loading modules - some modules are loaded using /etc/modules:
    Code:
    [email protected]:~# cat /etc/modules
    # /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
    #
    # This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
    # at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with "#" are ignored.

    i2c-dev
    #pwmbl
    ar1020-i2c
    #4dpi_touch
It looks, that configs.ko modules was not recompiled, therefore the module and /proc/config content are the same as on default Raspbian.
