  • Error when using the Compile and Load command in the Workshop IDE

I have just got my 4duino board and have successfully used the Arduino IDE to upload programs to the board. However when I try to use the Workshop IDE I can compile the code, I'm trying to upload the ConnectWIFI demo, but I cannot upload it to the 4duino. I do get the following error message:

    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at processing.app.BaseNoGui.selectSerialPort(BaseNoGui.java:1088)
    at processing.app.helpers.CommandlineParser.parseArgumentsPhase1(CommandlineParser.java:143)

I have no clue what is going on... can u help?

    Hi,

That is an issue of the latest Arduino IDE.

You can read about this issue from these links:

    Arduino Forum
    Github-Arduino

This issue was been solved in the hourly build as discussed on the links above.

You can download the hourly build here.
Please replace your Arduino IDE with that version.

    I hope this helped.

    Best Regards,
    Juniel Cruz
