  • Creating custom dials

    Hi,

I wanted to know what program people are using for making the custom dial graphics. Is there a place to get templates?

I know how to implement the dials in 4DS IDE but how does one make them?

    thanks

I was also thinking of using AutoCAD combined with a bit of Photoshop. AutoCAD seems a bit easier since you have snap on to objects

you could also use imagemagick if your looking to do animations, i tried adobe after effects but thats too complex for me at the moment, my gauges were animated in frames with photoshop

          Hi,

GIMP is also good and has some animation tools and you can create your own scripts.

          Hope this helps

          Best regards

          Paul

            Seen this?

Might help. But really, you need to make the graphics. You can then stitch them together and generate multiple images for the animation using the above information in the link.

            Hope that helps somewhat.
