  • Picaso serial comm with 4DGL

I am trying to run a 4DGL program to handle all the complex graphics functions but also pass to the program several parameters from the serial port. However, it looks like that capability is only available on the Goldelox chip. Is that correct? Are there any "clever" ways to get a few data parameters into the Picaso (uVGA Picaso MD1) running a 4DGL program?

The PICASO modules do support serial comms (the GOLDELOX modules support Auxilliary Communication Functions, see online docs, that will be implemented in the PICASO modules with the next release) . See the Setbaud(), Serin() and Serout() commands. Also, take a look at the sample 4DGL program, testSerial.4dg supplied with the 4DGL Workshop under "..\Projects\Picaso-uLCD_320_PMD3T" folder for examples serial comms on the PICASO platform.
