Hi James. Yeah sure. I'll be uploading full FAT32 filesystem soon. UDP is working, TCP is next.
I really need a text terminal display so I can have a standalone computer, like a Commodore64 on steroids.
Maybe a uVGA is an easier solution. I am really swamped. later.........dd

    Hello,
The drivers are all part of the kernel of the mainstream BBB image they release.
We did not write the display drivers. The gen4-CAPE's add a few more drivers to the mix, for the touch panel options and backlight control, but the actual RGB driver is generic and part of the kernel.
Please keep us in the loop of how you get on with your bare metal system, this is something very interesting that we would like to follow.
    Regards

4D Cape for the Beaglebone - bare metal

Hi. I am bringing up a bare metal system (no O/S) for the Beaglebone.
The Gen4 Cape series looks like a good choice for a display.
Can someone tell me where is the driversource code? And who wrote it?

    thanks...............dd
