To go further, does it meen that by using the tool update banks, I could also ask customers to copy past those 3 files onto the SD card (which is accessible as it is already used to import CSV data) and the update would be done ?
This solution would be great ...

I must have missed something ...

Did you rename the 4XE file to RunBank1.4XE. If it still doesn't run, could you please show me the contents of your SD card.

Just to make sure I did everything right :
1. I downloaded my program as usual but in flashbank1
2. renamed the 4XE file
3. copy of the 3 files on the SD
4. Pressed Update Bank(s) and Run

Here is the contents of my card: (the excel file is for CSV import)

Hi,

Everything seems fine but you didn't need to download your program to flashbank1

You could try to compile your main project again by clicking on compile and not comp'n'load

Then rename the 4xe and copy it to the SD card. It is possible it didn't update from the SD card as the timestamp was most likely the same.

Now that Update Banks and Run is installed you won't need to do this again.

I compiled my project again, copy the 3 files (which have the same hour and date) but I still get the same message on startup :

Why does it says "First run" ?

Thanks for the link. It is the same issue. I make a pause on the subject as I do not want to take any risk for my current project but I will work on it in 2-3 weeks time to try to get it to work.

Another question : with this option, is it possible to copy paste the SD card and have it to work in another screen without the source programm ?

So what make and model is this card?

I tried the first file for error code : error code is 6
I then tried the next programm which give the result of mount() and I always get 16342 (I never get any 0)
Second try with line 11 uncommented : I always get 16339 (I never get 0)
My card is a SD card BLKE 1GB industrial and I'm using a 10cm extender cable (which never caused any issue during the running of my programm till now)

As the issue seems to be around the SD card, I found an old Kingston SD HC 4GB and It works without issue.

Would you have any recommandations for SD cards ? (not uSD ...)

No, we've never tested that size. However, you should be able to find a Phison card with suitable specs.

I can only find BLKE on the usual Chinese sites, so I'm not that confident in it.

I have downloaded the file transfer utility and when I run it and try to connect to my display I get the message "Failed to load utility with message FTdiablo.4XE not found". I have searched using this file name but found nothing. Is this a file that needs to be on the display and if so how do I find it and where do I put it. I am using a simple serial interface to use the display now with my application.
