  • Modify 4dArdUsd file, 4Duino project

I want to make modifications to the <.4dArdUsd> file, so that I can call images in my code without having to manually drag and drop them [there are over 2000]

    I'll essentially be inheriting the following;
    Height,
    Left,
    Source.Height
    Source.Left
    Source.Top
    Source.Width
    Top
    Width

I noticed, however, the "Image" handle in the <4dArdUsd> file is not actually a complete Path to where the image in-question is, just the filename. I checked the main <4Dino> file and didn't see a variable anywhere containing the Path either.

My question is; where, then, is the full Path directory for each Image stored?

    Hello,

The full Path isn't stored as the image is copied into the project's name .ImgData folder. I have just tried moving an image into this folder in a test project and then adding this code to the .4dArdUsd file.

    Image
    Name Image2
    Alias Image2
    Height 120
    Image 320x240g.jpg
    Left 3
    Source.Height 194
    Source.Left 0
    Source.Top 0
    Source.Width 259
    Top 75
    Width 120
    OnTouchMoving ''
    OnTouchPressed ''
    OnTouchReleased ''
    end

I then exited Workshop 4 without saving and then opened workshop again and reloaded the project and the new image was shown in the object inspector. You could possibly use the same method by moving the image into the .ImgData folder and then make the alterations to the .4dArdUsd file.

Please make a back up of your project before trying this.

    I hope this helps

    Best regards

    Paul
