  • Solder Points for Power

Hi again, I need to know where on the main PCB for the gen4-uLCD-24PT I can solder a 5V connection. I see a large GND solder point, but I need to know where a VCC solder point is as well. These will be for end users and I do not want to use an FFC or other adapter board to add to the cost (and size) of my product.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

The safest place to solder a 5v would be onto D1 which is to the right of the 30 pin FPC socket. You should solder this wire onto the leg which is closest to the FPC connector. This may invalidate your warranty though.

    I hope this helps

    Best regards

    Paul

Thanks Paul, I had the PCB under a scope this morning ans had zeroed in on the D1 leg, but it's always good to have that validated before you go poking around.

      Works great-- thanks again.
