  • Micro SD specification

    Hello,

I have been working on a Discovery35 and Gen4 5" display, so far with "average quality" 2GB and 4GB SD cards. Everything worked fine.

I sourced some cheap 512Mo SD card, and I now encounter some issues.
I tried with several of them.
The SD is formated in FAT16, with 64K sectors.
I know the SD is working, since I can write and read back some data on it.

What happens is that my program does not print the images/buttons properly on the screen. Some of them work, but most of them seem corrupted : either no displayed, or displayed with errors.

Is there any specific spec that I missed while selecting my SD ? I did not found any particular recommandation from 4D System.

    Thanks.

    Hello Vincent,

It's possible that the uSD card is the probelem since you need to use uSD cards that support the SPI protocol. You can refer to this link for further reference: https://forum.4dsystems.com.au/node/1869?p=47626 .

    Hope it helps,
    Bern
