  • form image draw time

    Is there a way to speed up a Form's image redraw time? Not sure why mine take 350ms, but the one's I see on YouTube seem to be instantaneous.
    Is there a faster format than JPEG?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum!

    I'd assumed that there are no blocking codes.

    Actually, using a large form size, slow redrawing time, for example, during switching forms.

    To compensate, they added a fading effect function as discussed here: https://forum.4dsystems.com.au/node/61699

    Can I ask you, why do you want to speed up the drawing time?

    Best regards,
    Kayven

      Thanks for the reply!

      I don't need faster redraw, just looks nicer when screen redraw is fast.
      The form has nothing but an image (no blocking code). Is 350 ms a normal draw time on a 800x480 Diablo16? I see videos where they seem to be instantaneous. Perhaps they're not changing forms. ???

        Hi,

        On page 26 of our product catalogue;
        https://www.4dsystems.com.au/ecatalo...logue_2017.pdf

        It is stated that for a 800x480 resolution display (7.0"Diablo16 Intelligent Display Module), the frame rate is 3.1FPS. Using the formula 1/ frame rate, that would translate to roughly 322 ms in order to draw a single frame.

        For your references, you could refer to the related forum threads.
