  • Device Tree for 4DCAPE

    Hello all,

I am currently using the 4DCAPE-50T with the official Debian distribution, however I would like to migrate to a custom build (using Buildroot or TI SDK) for a more lightweight system. I am not experienced with embedded linux and device trees, but I know that I have to create a custom device tree to be able to use the display with my custom Linux system. The question is, is there a device tree including the 4DCAPEs available? What would be the best approach to create my own device tree including 4DCAPE? What else do I have to activate in the kernel to use the 4DCAPE as the main display?

    Cheers
    Bora

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, we don't have any expertise with the custom Linux system.
We provide hardware solution, the software is open source as described here: https://forum.4dsystems.com.au/node/49469 post#6.
This concern should inform the embedded Linux community.

For a listing of the available source files for the device tree overlays can be located here:

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,
    Kayven
