  • Compile without build everyhing

    Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to compile my project without build everything.
    I'm using Visi-Genie Pro.
Sometime when I modify a line of code I'm clicking on "(Build) Copy/Load" and it's could rebuild everything but I only changed a line. It's very long to build every modifications.

    Best Regards,
    Toragan

    Hi,

    Thanks for posting.

    Yes.

Basically, WS4 will rebuild the GCI file and flashing "creating support file" as you made any changes to any widgets in the WYSISYG pane, for example: adding, removing, changing properties and re/positioning the / of widgets.

Even double clicking of WYSISYG pane will trigger the rebuilt feature.

In some cases, WS4 IDE will rebuilt the .gci file as described from the forum thread located here: https://forum.4dsystems.com.au/node/66852 post #3

For the latest released of WS4 IDE (4.5.0.17), by pressing the "F9" shortcut key will rebuild everything, compile then load.
By pressing again, load it immediately without rebuilding the GCIs when the program is successfully loaded.

    Hopefully, this will help you.

    Best Regards,
    Kayven
