  • Flash size?

    I have a Gen4-IOD-24T

The reference manual says it has 512K byte flash.
The circuit diagram in the reference manual shows 4M byte flash (32M bit).

The chip on the board doesn't have the part number printed on it, so I can't read what is actually installed.
How can I tell the actual flash size?

Using the Serial link to flash the device, seems to ignore anything about flash size; but the OTA function requires enough space for 2 complete images, and it seems to care much more about flash sizes

    Hi Ray,

I can confirm that the flash size is 512k bytes.

You won't be able to use OTA as you say, it requires the space for the code you are going to flash to be downloaded prior to being flashed

    Best regards

    Paul.

      Hi Paul,

      Oh dear!
      512K is pretty small!
Could you do OTA using the SDFlash?

So when you respin the board next, apart from adding a test point for GPIO16 and the Analogue input, increase the flash size to 4M.
      Thanks

      Ray
