  • 5 volt┬átoleration on PA0 and PA1

    Hello everybody

I am using the GEN4 -ULCD-50DCT display(DIABLO16). I have some confusion about 5 volt toleration on PA0 and PA1 pins.
datasheet in processor pinout says pins are 3.3V tolerant: https://cdn1.imggmi.com/uploads/2019...582f0-full.png
and in serial port description says they are 5V tolerant: https://cdn1.imggmi.com/uploads/2019...60763-full.png

    are they 5 volt tolerant?

    thanks

    Hi KVSH

I am sorry, there does seem to be some conflicting information there. We will have this reviewed and fixed ASAP.

    PA0, PA1, PA2, PA3, PA14, PA15 - all are 3.3V tolerant only.
PA4 to PA13 are 5V tolerant, but 3.3V level output.

So if you are mapping TX1/RX1 or TX2/RX2 or TX3/RX3 to pins PA4 to PA13 then they will be 5V tolerant, but when mapped to PA0 through PA3 will be 3.3V tolerant only.

    I hope this helps

    Regards
    James
