  • Resistor required on RX/TX/RESET LINES ?

    Hi,

I've noticed that the Gen4-IB have resistors (68 Ohms???) on the RX, TX et RESET lines.

I need to build a circuit that will break out encoder, COM2/3 and also the same 5 lines as Gen4-IB so that I can continue to program the LCD.

Are those 3 resistors necessary ?

Asking the questions because I don't have them with me

    Thanks for update!

    Hi Francois,

    Good Day to you.

We recommend adding resistors as protection on the device. This can protect the pin from accidental swap of tx/rx and reset pins. They however are not essential to operation and it will work without them.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Ferdinand
