  • Audio popping

    I have a gen4-uLCD-50DCT with a custom audio amp. The sound is pretty good, but has some background noise. Since the background noise is noticeable when the audio is not playing, I use an IO pin to disable the amp when the sound is not playing. (Note: the Audio_enable pin wouldn't toggle as it should (firmware bug?), so had to use another IO pin).

    Main Loop code:

    Code:
    if (snd_Playing()==0)
       pin_LO(PA15); // audio amp OFF
    else
       pin_HI(PA15); // audio amp ON
    endif
    However, toggling the audio_enable pin causes a loud pop (regardless of volume setting).
    Any ideas how to suppress the pop sound?
    Thanks!!
