  • USE LED DIGITS ON GEN4-uLCD-24PT

    Hi everyone,

    I'm trying to show some values on led digits widget.
    I use a plus and minus buttons to increase/decrease the value on led digits.

    When i turn on the display, i can see the value increases until the max value, that is 10; when i decrease with minus, i see the widget don't update, and i see this:
    -10 (max value)
    -19 (that would be 09)
    -18 (that would be 08)
    -17 (that would be 07)
    -16 (that would be 06)
    -15 (that would be 05)
    -14 (that would be 04)
    -13 (that would be 03)
    -12 (that would be 02)
    -11 (that would be 01)
    -10 (that would be 00).

    The first digit doesn't seem to be updating, so I keep seeing the one relative to the number 10.

    Can anyone help me? i'm go crazy for this problem.

    Thank you,
    Daniele

    Hi Daniele,

    If you don't mind, could you please post snippet of your code so we can have a closer look?

    Or, you could also send me your project to test it on my end. (email add: sherwin.macabio at 4dsystems.com.au)

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Sherwin

      Hi Sherwin,

      I have see that the problem is the trasparency of the led digits.
      I have to put the led digits trasparency because i have a picture as background and i don't want to see a background colour of led digits.

      I have insert the follow lines of code to remove the black background colour:

      gfx_TransparentColour(BLACK);
      gfx_Transparency(ON);
      ledDigitsDisplay(numx, iDigits_0_10+1, 112, 2, 1, 49, 1) ;
      gfx_Transparency(OFF);

      How can i remove the background colour of "Led Digits" widget in another way?

      Thank you,
      Daniele

        Hi Daniele,

        You could try changing the Low in the Palette of the LED Digit so just the Black the background is not drawn. This colour would have to be different to your form background image

          Hi Paul,

          I have modified the background colour of the LED DIGITS with the same colour of bakground pictures, so i can't see the background of it and i have change the OutlineColor with the same colour of background.
          Now i have find this solution and for now it's good.

          Thank you,
          Daniele
