  • Printing on label or string recived data from UART

    Hello,

    Im using a uLCD-32PTU that will receive via UART data and then display it on a widget.

    since its a small amount of data I would like to skip the part of creating a txf and directly send it to the string widget, is there a way to do it?

    Im using ViSi and Im not interested in Genie.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum.

    Yes, there's a way to do what you want. With the assumption that you've already configured the RX/TX pins and ready to be polled, all you need to do is write/paste the String object:
    Code:
    var txtSerial;
    txtSerial := "HELLO";

    // Strings1 1.1 generated 28/02/2020 10:15:02 AM
    txt_FontID(FONT3);
    txt_FGcolour(WHITE);
    txt_BGcolour(BLACK);
    gfx_MoveTo(30 , 30);
    putstr(txtSerial);
    Hope this helps. Let us know if you have further queries.

    Best regards,
    Sherwin
