  • Change color of widgets with magic byte or double magic byte

    Hi,

I was wondering if you can change color of anything in widgets with a serial magic byte message ? I'm able to change some text, but I was wondering if I can change the color of the text per example or the color of button.

    Thank you,
    Olivier

    Dear Olivier,

    Good Day.
    Welcome to the forum,

You cannot change the color or text of any widget during runtime using Serial Magic Byte.
But what I can suggest is to make multiple copies of the widgets with different colors or text on the same location or position.
Then construct a Magic Code that will show your desired color or text of the widget.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,
    Ferdinand

      Hi Ferdinand,

Do you have any example of what serial magic byte I should send, i don't find any in the documentation.

      Thanks a lot,

      Olivier

        Hi Olivier,

        Good day to you.

You can try the attached example below.
You can use GTX utility tool to send values to magic object. Click Send Values to open Send Values to Magic Object window.
On what to send >> choose Bytes
Data: 01 to display Winbutton0 or button green/okay and
Data: 00 to display WinButton1 or button red/cancel.

        Hope this helps.

        Best Regards,
        Ferdinand
