  • Pixel Error after Flash ULCD 144 G2 with old firmware

    Hi,

we are using the ULCD 144 G2 Display since 2012, but the newest delivery (serialnumber 20xx, R26) is not working with the old firmware (PMMC: ULCD-144-G2-SGC-R17-A from 2013, R25) any longer. After flashing, our splash screen appears as expected. But after the next power cycly, we have these pixel errors.
Unfortunately only this old version of the firmware is compatible to our device.
Can you help to identify new changes at the device, then maybe we can fix the bug?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

It appears that wrong PmmC has been loaded. Please see table below to be guided which PmmC is appropriate for this particular revision:

Click image for larger version Name:	PmmCTable.png Views:	0 Size:	6.1 KB ID:	71889

To check the driver used in your module(in order to load appropriate PmmC), please run attached Designer program(uLCD144-ID.4dg). In case of 'white screen', you may also find the information written to COM port.

By default, the PmmCs are located in this directory:
    C:\Users\Public\Documents\4D Labs\4DUpdates\PmmCs

    Hopefully, this solves the issue.

    BR,
    Sherwin

      Hello,

thank you for the fast answer.

We need the old firmware on the device, otherwise our software is not working with the display. With the R26 PMMC on board the displays are working fine, but it is not working with our software.

We will develop a new revision of our software later this year to be compatible to the new PmmC, but atm we are seeking for a simple solution to continue with our old software till we finished the new development. All generations of displays we received the last 7 years worked with the old 1.7 PmmC and we are asking for help to find the difference between the newest generation and the generations before.
